Neuro Emotional Technique
NET is a technology based upon many scientific principles. Its basis is to find and remove emotional physiopathological patterns, which are called Neuro Emotional Complexes (NECs).
Emotions have traditionally been thought of as normal functions of human beings, and often they do not present a problem. However, emotional trauma and/or long term conditioning can cause an N.E.C. which does not resolve itself. As such, N.E.C.'s can be at the base of physical, mental, or emotional disturbances or imbalances.
N.E.T. seeks to normalize these patterns by an actual physiological change. This intervention allows the resultant disturbance to heal.
One of the basic tenets in N.E.T. therapy is to address each person in all aspects - emotional, nutritional, homeopathic and structural. This winning practice is called the Home Run Formula.
The Seven Dynamics of N.E.T.
There are seven main dynamics to understanding N.E.T.
1. Muscle Testing.
It has been demonstrated that muscle testing can access the physiology of the body, including, the physiology of emotions; and that muscles - which initially test strong in the clear - will test as being inhibited (weaker) when one says a non - congruent statement (e.g. John saying, "My name is Mary"). This dynamic has been scientifically validated by Dr. Daniel A. Monti, et. al. : Scientific Validation of the Mind / Body Pardigm and Muscle Testing.
2. Emotions are physiologically based.
Emotions are based on minute proteins in the body called Information Substances (IS). These IS are comprised of neuropeptides, hormones and other specialized molecules which permeate our entire body, including our D.N.A.
3. Pavlovian Responses.
While most people think Pavlovian Responses primarily applies to animals, humans too are conditioned - sometimes by one event (this is termed a one time trial). While conditioning is normal under most situations, so is the physiological counterpart (the fading or elimination of a conditioned response) called "extinction." Simply, sometimes extinction does not take place, and we utilize N.E.T. to allow the body to carry on with this process. This dynamic has been scientifically validated perhaps more than any other in psychology, starting with Pavlov, et. al.
4. Emotions / meridian system correlation.
This is a 1,500 to 4,000 - year - old principle. An acupuncture theory, known as the Five Element Law, has been clinically validated for over 1,500 years linking specific emotions to specific meridians. An example is the link between "Anger" and the Liver meridian.
5. Repetition Compulsion.
One of Freud's contributions was that of a repetition compulsion, which essentially notes that once we have been emotionally traumatized (and also in our view, conditioned), we will non - consciously seek to repeat a like trauma in the future.
6. The role of memory and physiology.
When we remember a traumatic event, the body replicates the physiology which occurred at the time of the event.
7. Semantic Responses.
The physiology of the body can not only be reactive to, say, the sight of a spider, but also the word "spider" or a picture of a spider.
Taken altogether, the N.E.T. Practitioner can use the above seven dynamics - and with the patient's full involvement - can, with pin point accuracy and unprecedented speed, find the origins of emotional trauma. Resolving the trauma only requires entering into the psychoneuroimmunological complex through either spinal or acupoint avenues. This safe and quick intervention allows for the extinction of the emotionally - laden conditioning.
