Life is for joy and expansion – which definitely includes perfect health. I never knew when I set out on this journey of life’s un-foldment … where it would take me, what I had to lose (thank goodness for that) and how my dreams would unfold in such magical ways. I now know, as I never did before, that life is marvelous without any specific condition.

Who am I? I am a believer in the miraculous and
that everything we want and desire is available to us –
when we get out of our own way! Easier for some than
others, but until recently, not for me. I now know I
have made everything a lot harder then it had to be.
But, that was part of my journey as well. When I was
a child, I knew there was a lot more to life than what
I saw on the surface. I guess that was “the carrot”
to go forth and first figure out how to master what
I believed were my physical limitations. This quest
led me into the field of nutrition, a fledgling in the
1970’s. I have had the astounding good fortune to
apprentice with some of the greatest doctors, healers
and scientists of our times.
Simultaneously, I have been driven on my own spiritual quest, studied with many great teachers and participated in an ancient mystery school for 20 years. I feel blessed to be a part of various communities of gifted practioners with whom I exchange regular sessions – which keeps me on track along with, well, my dog, Tucker, who may be the greatest mentor of all time!
Who I am is someone who knows beyond a
shadow of a doubt that we do create our
own reality – whether we are conscious of
it or not. That also means we can always
“uncreate” what we have created! My personal
challenges have been many… at least for me!
Some I did not believe I would survive. But
in the end, I never could have known my truth,
my authentic self, who I am, and what I am
capable of without these “dark nights of the
soul.” For that I am truly grateful.
The same is true for you. You have within you the means to achieve all of your dreams. We often just need facilitators, those who are not standing in our fear but rather standing in the love of who we are - holding a flash light to guide us. You will make it there - just don’t give up… your heart never does.
In the book “You are the Adventure” by J. Allen Boone, he raises a question to a mystic friend. He wondered why humans when they have the world at their disposal are often stuck and seem to mess up so much? While asking the question, out of nowhere a little black bug waltzed in front of Boone and his mystic friend on their white linen dinner table cloth. The mystic pulled a pencil out and made a circle around the little bug. The critter marched forward until he hit the pencil mark. The bug stopped, believing that he could not pass, became motionless, and turned to another direction. Then the little fella went forth and hit the barrier again, turned to a new direction and kept repeating this behavior until he collapsed in fear and exhaustion. The mystic took the pencil and gently pushed the little critter outside of the circle. He lay there as if dead and then suddenly, sensing a change in his situation, revived and took off at high speeds!
No matter what it may feel like right now, there is always a new direction, around which lies a deep
blue sea of the love and support you truly are.
You can always walk out of anything and into a new mind of your own creation. Your RIGHT is to
have, not only contemplate, all of your dreams.

A while back I was in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico to officiate my niece’s wedding on a beautiful beachfront. My niece, her fiancé and I had written an inspiring ceremony, but I believed something else was needed.
The day before the wedding took place, in my meditation, I asked “love” what else could be expressed? And then let that question go, trusting something would come through.
The hotel we stayed in had a yearly program in which the staff collected green sea turtle eggs from a nearby beach. The eggs were endangered by the birds. So, everyday the staff would collect and then bury the eggs in their makeshift beach hatchery, which had a twenty-four hour guard protecting them. In the evening, the hatchlings would be collected and handed to the hotel guests to hold and release them into the endless ocean.
When I heard about this, I raced to the beach and stood in a line with my family, as well as with a group of strangers. The excitement was palpable as the attendants passed out a tiny hatchling to each person. As I held that beautiful baby in my hand, I loved it with my whole heart, wanting to protect it from the dangers it faced on its long journey at sea. We were told that only one baby out of several hundred would ever make it to adulthood.
I cried in gratitude to have this incredible opportunity to hold a new life and to be united with all of the openhearted people who were cuddling the babies, wishing for each one to go forth in love and protection. At the same exact moment, we all set these newborns down onto the sand, fifty feet from the shoreline, and watched them in admiration as they crawled to the water. They were now neurologically activated and able to begin their journey.
It was an amazing sight to witness - some babies shot across the sand, others meandered. While others were a bit disoriented. No one in our line left until the last little sea turtle made its way into the heartbeat of the tide and disappeared under the waves. Complete silence descended upon us. We all stood there spellbound, together, united in one another and enveloped in a feeling of love and hope.
I knew in that moment my prayer was answered. I knew with every fiber of my being that support and love have always been there in the “unseen” as well as what I could tangibly know.
That experience was the symbol of life and of love for my niece and her fiancé, in that glorious moment of their unity, amidst the sea, surrounded by family and friends … and for each one of us on this journey of life with its challenges and its wonderment.
